Thoughts on "No Strings Attached"

OK I know I just posted a forum just a few minutes ago but I think we should inform junior magitions about this trick.

You can find Penguin Magic's demo video at this address:
http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=536

Anyway I personally don't own this trick but after watching the video I found it was SO OBVIOUS what he did. I looks almost exactly like "Floating Dollar Bill" but it costs about three times more. Really the only thing that catches my attention is how the bill floats in mid air as he steps back. :? Does anyone know how this is done? I remember reading something about Spider String involved in there somewhere.

Well anyway, to anyone who is considering to buy a floating object trick. I say to simply go with Hummingbird or Floating Dollar because their the same thing for 1/3 the price. :D

They're not quite the same thing, actually (I think).

When you buy IT effects, everybody knows the basic principle. The trick is the hookup, and that's what you pay for. Therefore, the hookup on No Strings Attached must be something special so that iit's worth 3x the price of the cheapo Floating Dollar.

all i can say on this subject is that its a three stage hookup closer to the floating light bulb which is several hundred pounds, if you like what you see go for it if not save your money and devise your own hookup.

The problem with this kind of hookup is that it's quite limiting. I would rather go for a hookup like LeClair's - it's just more versatile.
