Defo on for the 6th August - Saturday.

Likely to be 1 PM as usual with the bar yet to be decided, I think that Manchester is having the Manchester Picnic that day in Piccadilly Gardens so we could hit that I guess :)

So that'd be Kro Bar in that case

Any other suggestions and make sure everyone knows

KRO Bar, 1PM, Sat 6th, yeah, that's good for me, one small question though, how on earth do we know that we are there for the meet, I don't want strange looks as I approach a total stranger and ask if they are a magician, lol.

How about we sit at a specific table, or, we all bring a pack of cards and sit with them in front of us, I know, it sounds stupid, but, can save a lot of awkwardness in the long run.

Trust me, it's obvious who we are!

Put me down as a maybe. Depends on how cash is going.

He's right - it's impossible to miss a bunch of magicans in a pub!

I had the same thoughts first time I went to a meet and the pub was a lot less open than the Kro is - when you spot the balloons on someone's head, a credit card flying around a pint and a dozen decks of Bikes on the table - that's us.

PMSL, I will remember to avoid low flying credit cards then.

Yeah its the bar in the Gardens in the red brick building.

Don't forget these meets have been going on for a long time and a lot of us known each other.

As the others have said though look out for the cards, balloons or a whole host of other magic related items.

Of course you can get my number from my web site as well so you could always call in advance of approaching a group of strangers.

Besides the worst they can say is no they're not, in which case you're in and perform for them :)

Is it advisable to bring stuff along to show and tell or just a simple set of pasteboards ?

I am not on about anything big, just some closeup stuff I have lying around.

Bring whatever you like mate. There won't be any expectations for anyone to do anything, it's just a day of fun, do what you're comfortable with.
I regularly turn up and just sit there drinking and watching.

It's perfect for bringing things for show and tell to be honest! As Lawrence says there is no pressure to perform or anything though.

Just come along and have some fun with some like minded people

The gardens seems like a cracking spot and is ideal for me to make a mysterious exit for my train, good times.

Si, a 1pm start would mean about noon meet up at lime street for us, how does that sound?
