Hello from Manchester

Postby Mancunian Lee » Jul 24th, '11, 15:54

Hello folks

Im new to Magic, long time fan, long time reader of these forums too but its about time I learnt something I thought. So my wife has just treated me to Marvins Magic 50 greatest card tricks and a trick called The Brainwave Deck.

Not looking to become a pro or earn any money just looking at wowing a few strangers as its too easy to impress family and friends.

So hello everyone and please tell me ive just bought the wrong items as these are not suitable for beginners :D

Hi, welcome to TM :)
You should also check out Mark Wilsons Complete Course in Magic, you'll find plenty written about it on here.

Welcome to Talk Magic. You may want to pick a copy of Royal Road to Card Magic (cheap on amazon).

Nothing wrong with the brainwave deck, even for a beginner, they are pretty straightforward as long as you have no problems with the handling.

As Stephen says, get the Royal Road to Card Magic, Waterstones in Arndale have a copy, I know that for sure as I bought a copy from there myself, lol.
