Today I learnt how to "pick a card, any card" from a deck and find it when put back. I know its very simple but I rocked at it, even though I say so my self. Just want to find a nice quality stripper deck before showing it to more people.

Might be tempted to knock on the neighbours and show their kids later on though.

Nice feeling isnt it? I hope it never goes away and there's enough to keep me this excited till I grow old.

May I reccommend that before you learn a new trick, you see how different that one can be made by adding patter and changing the reveal/plot to make things more exciting. Thats the really fun part. May I suggest trying stripping their card out to the bottom, then getting a subtle glimps of it as you put the pack back in the box (or hold it to your forehead). You are now free to reveal this as you see fit. It is common to name first the colour, then the suit, then the value of their card for this effect. But you can also hold a pen over a pad of paper. Ask them to lightly place their hand on your hand holding the pen, and proceed to ask them to concentrate on the suit, and as they do so, you shakily (and without looking, if you really want to sell it) draw an image of a heart, or whatever suit you peeked before. You can then proceed with other bits of information about the card until it is completely revealed, apparently due to tiny movements in their hand as you drew telling you where to go.
I hope that gives you an idea of how you can turn what you called "very simple" into a genuine miracle, usibg pretty much the same method!

I havent nailed this trick perfectly yet, still working on my presentation and card handling skills but can anyone recommend my next trick? I know I can find 4 aces or the perfect poker hand using this technique but id say they where just variations of the same "theme" so would like something using a regular deck if possible.

Is it ok to ask for such advice?

BTW im asking for you just to name the trick and ill go find it myself, buy a book etc, im not asking for someone to tell me how to do the tricks at all.

Have you got mark wilsons complete course in magic? It has quite a good section on card sleights and many tricks (as well as a lot of other magic). If not, buy it immediately. I got one on ebay for about £2. Or royal road to card magic if you want solely cards. These books will teach you enough tricks to last a lifetime. Also, how is finding the four aces the same theme? It is the same method, but your audience never see that part, do they? Imagine that you are the spectator. A magician first locates your card. Then he finds four aces from a shuffled pack. The two are completely different, especially when dressed up with the right presentation. Have fun!
