Entering into the palm

The RRTCM suggests entering the palm using the left hand to momentarily swipe away some imaginary dust allowing the cards moved to the right to appear unsuspect. Any better ideas on entering the palm?

use your natural manerisms. look in the mirror, and see how you stand, and how you normaly position your hands when NOT doing something, and play on that.Brushing dust of a deck makes little sense, as they never get dusty. If you have had teh card signed, maybe check to see if teh ink is dry.. but thats all.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

Do the deed when the audience is not looking.

Are we talking top palm?

Use one hand, but before you transfer the cards to your right hand (if right handed), make sure you have a reason to, eg. gesturing with the left hand, to ask someone to hold out their hand,
to take another object,
etc...

Or go out and learn the one handed top palm, you'll never look back!

Address a spectator on your right as you go into the palm (I'm mainly thinking of the Vernon Top Palm here). That way you cover the action in a natural manner, with the added cover of takling to the spec to keep the heat off your hands.
