Anyone got Dynamo's Cutting Edge DVD?

Postby MikeMagician » Aug 5th, '11, 17:00

Hey guys.

Been searching around as I like Dynamo's style, way before he was televised. I was just wondering if anyone owned "Dynamo - Cutting Edge" ?

Apparently he reveals some sleights, routines and apparently his haunted deck setup with loops.

Just wondering if anyone can recommended it? Or confirm what's on the DVD? If anyone does own it please can you post a review?

Cheers everyone.

Really? You like his style?

"watch" *really obvious sleight* "how cool am I?"

It's just not what magic should be, there should be a story, some humour or suspense or at least some skill.

I dont own the DVD mentioned but I would imagine everything on it could be learned in Royal Road or EATCT etc plus much more that would allow you to come up with better presentations yourself

I don't mean to offend, I just think he's a bad role model for people starting off in magic

Hi Mike,

Do a search on amazon and it should have a synopsis, should they happen to stock it.

Not everyone likes his style but he is out there doing it and making magic popular which is free advertising for ALL working magicians.

What in particular would you like to learn that he does? We could probably point you in the right direction once we know what exactly you are looking to replicate.

I may have been born yesterday but I stayed up all night.

He's not a role model as such, but I have always loved the Street Magic presentation for years. I'm not a big fan of the elegant, flashy presentations.

I was looking to learn some of the advanced sybils (I have Dan and Dave's The System) but would like some alternative teaching as their teaching is horrible by slowing down the move.

Also I was looking to see his hookup with the haunted deck, how the card can fly and catch it. Or go in any direction. I was looking for that specific setup and not just the standard haunted deck.

Cheers guys.

I am sure that's the standard hookup that comes with the loops?

Apparently not to catch the card, he uses a different setup.

why not pick up a book on the subject of loops....... would be a lot cheaper than the dynamo DVD and you will learn a lot more on the subject..... unfortunately though i dont use loops personally so cant recommend a good one... perhaps someone else can help?
