Howdy all,
I'm a lifelong (albeit lapsed) magic fan who has recently rediscovered his love for the art.
I spent a large part of my childhood obsessed with magic. I spent countless hours reading magic books, practicing tricks and putting on the occasional performance for family, friends and classmates (mainly just cheap gimmicks and self-working card tricks with an occasional poorly executed sleight).
Unfortunately, as i got older and discovered new fun things to do with my time i started to drift away from wizardry. I gradually spent less and less time thinking about magic until it was but a distant memory.
That changed when i stumbled across a repeat of P&T Fool Us a couple of months ago, that's when i saw Michael Vincent performing.
Watching him handle cards instantly filled me with the excitement and wonder that i remember feeling as a child, and from that moment i was re-hooked on magic.
Then, after seeing Shawn Farquhar performing his signed card in a sealed deck routine on the show, i felt compelled to restart learning the craft.
I have no desire to become a professional, but i do have a desire to learn/re-learn some skills (just card based for now), and in turn help myself develop a deeper appreciation for magic.
So i've bought myself a copy of RRTCM, a few packs of bikes and i look forward to the journey ahead.
