If you see a trick and have no idea what it's called, what is the best way to find it?

In this case, the trick I'm looking for is a card transformation where the magician transforms a quarter of the card at a time, in front of the spectators' eyes (Piff the Magic Dragon used a variation of this trick on P&T's Fool Us).

Any pointers on how to find this sort of information or at least the name of this particular trick?
