Petrol

The worst thing about the current ridiculously high petrol prices is that it is almost impossible to put an exact amount into your tank. £40.02 - argh!

It always surprises me that people still try and round up the price when they fill up. :D

Some people put the effort in to get to £30 exactly and then pick something up in the shop making it £31.10 or similar. What also makes me chuckle is that most people pay with card so who cares if it's £27.18?

I may have been born yesterday but I stayed up all night.

I'd love to live in a country where £40 filled my tank - or even got it to half-way.

Did you still have your coat on when you posted this?

I travel around the area looking for the cheapest petrol I can find and then fill it right up.

I must travel 20 miles some days in order to save a few pence.

Serves you right Mike for driving that Bugatti Veyron that you posted a picture of a few months back! I bet £40 got you all of a half mile too

I've noticed that too! It is impossible now to stop at an exact round figure. But like others have said, pay on your card and who cares?

I noticed that Asda have cheekily dropped thier price by .2 of a penny so they can claim to be cheaper. Who on earth cares about £1.46.7 as opposed to £1.46.9?

I just found an old fuel receipt - I can't believe that only 2 years ago diesel was £1.01/litre. This is nuts.

I got my current car 4 years ago when it cost just over £60 to fill up from reserve. Now it's £95 to fill.

I can't see it stopping from going up anytime soon.
