My 20 yr old & my 7 yr old trying out flash paper.

I'm not sure how i feel about watching a 7year old almost burn his hands off.

I have no idea about flash paper but did your son really feel pain or was it more the shock of it?

And before anyone comments, I am aware fire is hot. I once had a guy blowtorch my face with an aerosol can and lighter at a party (he was drunk, I was merely the poor sober victim talking to someone else) and while there was a big ball of fire for a moment, it didn't hurt. It just singed my hair a little.

So, I was wondering if it's the same with flash paper.

Hello Simon, No he didnt feel any pain.
I would never put my children in any sort of danger or harm.
He was genuinely just shocked, As I said I was sat next to him the whole time.
My 20 yr old filmed him, my wife (who is a nurse) was present too.

I have burned flash paper on my hand before now and it doesnt hurt.

It does not hurt your hand at all. The lad was in no real danger.

As expected then.

I put the evil smiley because I was kinda upset that somebody I dont know called me a halfwit.
I understand why you would say this.
But as I have already said my child was in absolutely no danger.
So I'd just like to let you know I'm not a Halfwit

The worst that could happen is he burns the hairs off the back of his hand. He does need to learn to let go of it before it gets to that point though.

Don't take a gig for the NSPCC's Christmas party...
