Just bought 50p folded coin, which has a hollow edge, is it suppose to be like that? will be doing the bottle trick. but afraid people will spot the edge once inside? also what is the difference between a single fold and double fold coin please? thanks

yes edge needs to be that way, no done correctly it will not be noticed, just don't let them handle the coin. Always start out with a normal coin switch to the gimmick to penetrate the bottle, then switch out again.

Single fold, folds once wherever the cut is.
Double fold folds in thirds, two cuts.

Go ahead and ask which is better. I'll save time. Which is better an apple or an orange?

Depends on your taste and what you are using it for.

Many years ago Peter Crush had available 'The Ultimate Folding Coin' a folding coin with a shell, no groove was visible and the coin could be viewed close up from all angles.

It was produced with the coin through ring routine in mind, rather than the coin in bottle.

I'm not sure if it is still available but there may be other versions out there somewhere.

One piece of advice for folders, check and replace the b##d fairly regularly.
I used to have a double fold (new)5p and lost one of the pieces down the side of the settee when b##d snapped whilst sat practicing with it one afternoon. I've looked everywhere on-line for a replacement coin but no look yet.
I used to do a fair few routined with this coin too :(

As said above, single fold = 1 fold, double fold = 2 folds.

With regards to the bxxd's I started using 2, it made the coin easier to manipulate for me and looked a bit ''more snappy'' (mind the english).

I had the single fold 10p for the record.
