Hey peeps.

If you wouldnt mind, could you answer one question for me, well maybe two lol.

Its in regards to your music preferences.

Please pick one band or artist you like a lot.

Do you prefer to listen to their whole album start to finish or are you a singles person, pick and mix of tracks from different albums.

If you fancy sharing id also be curious who you picked.

Thanks in advance and have a choc tastic day folks !

I'm a big prog and metal fan. For me, this sort of album is designed to be listened to as one piece, so I'm definitely an album person.

Killswitch Engage. Would listen to it shuffled with the rest as I'm too lazy to make playlists.

Cold War Kids. Listen to whole albums, but shuffle tracks rather than in order (and often all songs they have ever done, several albums shuffled together).

I tend to listen to albums as albums on the whole. I tend to listen to a lot either through my computer or else on the record player, in which case I listen to half an album before turning over or choosing another. Can get a rough idea of taste through my last fm.

Northern soul, Tamla, ska, swing, and doo-wop. But then I'm old. Compilations, mixes these days rather than whole albums by one artist (unless it's Wayne Newton - who???).

Completely depends what I'm listening to.

I'm having a proper grindcore spell lately and putting on an album and letting it run.

My all time favourite type of music is Thrash and most of the time the songs are well suited to a playlist of my favourites on shuffle.

I have playlists for pop, jazz, hiphop and a load of other genres and its the same "pick my favourites and shuffle"

I really like D&B and have alot of mixes, if you where to shuffle them it'd sound awful so that's always a mix/liveshow/album in order sort of job.

When I'm reading i'll put something (mostly) instrumental on such as Godspeed You! Black Emperor for a bit of backing music without interfering with my reading and its critical for these albums to play the album as intended.

Perhaps I've went on too long without really saying anything, but I love music and could talk about it all day

Depends who it is, with some bands, Led Zep, Floyd, Metallica, Neil Young etc it would be rude to skip any tracks but then ask me to listen to a whole u2 album?! I think not!

So in answer to the question, depends on the band

Are you watching closely? Then I'll begin...

Again, it depends who I'm listening to.
I tend to put my iPod on shuffle which is possibly the only place in the world where Frank Zappa is followed by The Cheeky Girls who are followed by Sparks who are followed by Weird Al Yankovic.

Like a small minority of people I would rather listen to a jack hammer or fingers dragging on a chalk board than listen to music. For the sake of completeness please remember there are some for whom music means nothing.

For that reason acts to music normally leave me cold, and tricks involving music are a complete turn-off.
