Ordering from Penguin Magic

Postby Alfred Borden » Aug 17th, '11, 11:50

I don't usually order stuff from the other side of the pond but I'm guessing other people on here do order from Penguin Magic?

Anyone ever have any problems?

Thanks in advance

It's been a while since I used them but they've always been good to me and they used to have some great freebies on offer over the last few years.

I've never been stung with the duty but have always been prepared to pay it if required. They generally mark the box as a gift or something.

You obviously have to wait for it to arrive as well.

Cheers, the wait doesn't bother me that much

Was more reliability, getting stung on duty or exchange rates and stuff like that

i can reccomend Meyer Yeddids site. MYMAGIC.COM.

Its U.S based, but his delivery and service is second to none. Ive never had to wait more then a week , and ive used him several times.

His material varies massively. Check the search function. You'll find some of his products people loved then other products that were hated. Which ever one you are considering buying look for a review first.

Penguin Magic has excellent prices. It works out as $30 for express shipping, but it's fantastic, as in the past it has literally taken 4 days from ordering to delivery. I have in all honesty in that interim ordered from UK suppliers and it has still taken less time.

Plus you can track using FedEx and it really is exciting to see exactly where your package is, how it is "waiting to be picked up" / "in transit" etc.

Due to the hefty shipping it probably is best to do a large order. You will get lil freebies.

I bought the Paul Wilson 5xDVD set from moremagictricks - UK based and it came reasonably quickly - about 4 days.
