Card to lemon

Postby Miniolo » Aug 24th, '11, 00:16

Hiiii :D i recently (this week) started doing CARD TO LEMON where A card vanishes inside the middle of a lemon ... :)

I only saw 1 version and did not like it because it cannot be proven to be there card
... now i use almost the same method but with a CORNER of the card to prove its their card

TABLE VERSION

how I perform it is with a card selection (classic selection), after that i rip of the corner (pipside) and give for them to hold.... after that i get some flashpaper and PRODUCE the lemon after that I hold the lemon in mu hand and throw the card in the lemon from the bottom (u probably now how)... after that i get out a knife and cut the lemon and show the card is in there and let them check if the piece fits

MY ONLY problem is :) i did this trick twice... I have no idea how i will ask this without exposing... When i did it the first time the card that is in the lemon was totally soaked and came out with front and back apart... the corner was just right to show it really was their card... but yeahh the card was mushy and too soaked..... DOES anyone know how i can fix this...

i already tried wrapping the card in plastic wrap ... but it just doesnt give the good vibe because it adds an strange item... that wasnt part of the lemon or part of the card

The proper way to load the lemon (assuming its a dup) is explained in Mark Wilsons. The inside of the lemon isnt burst, its stretched, so no juice is spilled.

yes its a dup :) and i think he uses the same method by getting out the part where it hung from and widen the inner part with a pencil or other long object... but the card still gets wet :S too wet....

some magician i know told me i could maybe rub it in with water compelling substance or wax... is that an good idea?

There is an entire book called Bill To Lemon. Not a fan of the effect itself but the nicest so far has been signed bill to lemon. And yes, if loaded properly you don't have to worry about the card getting wet.

I havent done this sort of thing in almost 20 years. It was a variation on the Bill to Lemon in Mark Wilsons i used (occasionally using an orange instead). I dont remember the bill ever coming out soaked when using the bethod in the book, are you sure your doing it right ? Are you rolling the card as tight as possible ?

My lemons ran out yesterday so i used a orange!:P and that works allot better indeed the bill/card is loaded in between the juice and doesn get whet... however it is the case with a lemon... same method of loading...

the flashpaper production of a orange is however a little bit harder because i dont have big hands... and cant palm a orange without flashing....:S:( but yeah me and a friend did it like this yesterday:)

card get selected and SIGNED by her...i let her ask a orange at the bar:) she comes out with the orange i make the card dissapear and let her cut open the orange.. and there it is inside the orange signed and everything.... :D

How about a tangerine ? It would be easier to palm and may even be easier to load :)
