Hi, I'm new here.
I used to entertain the family when i was a kid with card tricks and the cups and balls but as i got older i began to do less and less magic and eventually replaced it with learning the guitar. However recently i've had my interest in magic rejuvenated by the TV shows Dynamo Magician Impossible & Penn & Teller Fool us.
I've since dug out my old copy of "The Royal Road To Card Magic" and have started to learn from the very beginning again. It's suprising how much stuff i skipped when i was a kid, i still remember the charlier pass, the glide, riffle shuffle, watefall shuffle and controlling a card to the top/bottom but i'd completly overlooked basics like retaining top/bottom card and was allways far too afraid of the DL, the mere mention of which would fill me with dread and as a result i never attemted it for fear of it allways looking like a duff move.
Well now I'm working my way through the road and hopefully i'll suprise myself and entertain friends and family along the way.
