Can thoroughly recommend Star by Dave Forest; am justing learning the routine myself.
Wayne Houchin has a new one out although haven't seen this performed.
TORN does look really good but you have to be careful of the angles. I think Star has the edge over this now (imo).

Each and all have their merits. I used reformation for a while..simply because it was the only piece by piece one I own and if you put the effort in, it is truly magical.

However, do a bit of research into Dani DaOrtiz' work and you'll see his versions where the signed card is ripped up restored in their own hands after they visibly rip their own card with their own signature...Vinny Marini has an interesting version also called The Godfather Rips You a New One.

I would sooner learn the routine with out the need for a Gaff.

I don't have a problem with them, so long as one can switch them out, & end clean.

We all go through a 'purest' phase at some point, but just remember the most imporant thing - THE AUDIENCE DON'T CARE if you are using gaffs or not. All the audience care about is the conviction of the effect.

I agree that Garcia's Torn is the one to go for. Just wish I could do it as well as he does...
