It's precisely the same thing, if anything... it's even worse because they are bigger names and more people will see it. Shows that they must be on a downward slope if they have had to start revealing things that previously made them their living.
On a side note, the entire magic community is just as responsible as people filming bad performances, google the basic plot of a trick and a video/web-page where you can buy it will pop up. (You don't even need the name, and I appreciate people saying you should change the presentation, of course you should, but they're still going to google 'blank cards magic trick' whatever you say or phrase it, and guess what the first dozen hits are? )
