Hey all,

Either it's just me, or the upgraded forum really doesn't like to serve my searches.

This is particularly frustrating, as I always use the 'View New Posts' feature, to keep up to date....when the problem happens, I'm given "Information: Sorry but you cannot use search at this time. Please try again in a few minutes."

Oddly, this only mainly happens to me on an evening (mainly after midnight, but sometimes after 9pm).

Just wondered if it was jus me, or are other members getting this issue?

Happens to me but seems like once I've browsed the forum for a bit it works again.

I know some forums have search limits, etc. but this seems to be completely random.

I use the unread posts feature all the time so perhaps there is some sort of limit?

Yes it happened to me a few times as well.

This is happening to me every time I visit the forum now. Can't use "View New Posts" at all.

We've noticed as well and details have been passed on. Last time this happened it was because of a heavy load on the servers which host TM - they also host a lot of other non-magic traffic.

Happening to me now. Second time within a few days.

At one time is was limited to later at night when the server traffic was at a peak but it now seems to be at almost any time of day. To be fair, I've logged in and searched 8 times today (yes I know, I have no life!) and only once seen the 'No Can Do' message.

Bear with us until we can find the right bit to kick.....

Update: As we guessed there has been a lot of spam traffic which the system had to try and deflect so things slowed down considerably. Hopefully things will be better now.
