Where can I find the members list for this forum.?

... good questions, as well as a list of where these members are located....

And of course their email adresses and telephone numbers!

We don't have a member list, it was removed since it only encouraged spybots to crawl it and didn't really serve much of a useful purpose except to rank people by how many posts they had made (which is irrelevant since mandrake will always be top of the list!)

I'm wondering why you would like to know?

Speaking for myself, would be nice to see how many norwegians there are around, and scandinavians.

I can understand the concern about malware trawling for information, but how is that different, for instance, to having a PM button at the bottom of someone's post? I've often resorted to searching for a post by a particular person if I've wanted to send them a PM. If such a list were available (presumably after I'd logged on), I could search it an send a PM from there. The information to be available in such a list could be determined in the user profile (couldn't it?) - age (with appropriate child protection constraints), "status" within magic, location etc. just as information is displayed near the avatar. Is it possible/appropriate to have a poll to get a feeling for what folks think about this at the click of a button, rather than their having to type a response?

I hope that I'm not treading on anyone's toes here - particularly the Mods - as I don't want to get myself thrown out!

Adding to Nick's message a little, we had quite a few concerns expressed over strangers having easy access to the membership data and the Forum Owner decided that, as part of the update a few months ago, that feature would just no longer be available. Once again a case of misuse and abuse leading to the loss of something which is so sadly the way things seem to be these days. Not being involved in the deeper inner workings of TM, I don't know whether there is a more restricted version which could be introduced. I guess not otherwise it would have been done earlier this year.
