Hi, I'm going to New zealand for a year in January and I've heard that bicycle cards are pretty much unavailable over there. As I'll be backpacking I need a way to keep a few (maybe 4) decks in good condition. Any ideas? Also I'm planning on doing some close-up street work, what card and coin effects would you do in this situation?

Is that by any chance on a working holiday visa? I did the same a few years ago. Some of the best years of my life. Yes though good cards are hard to come by out there. If you're there for a year though you will at some point be in the same spot for a while so what I did was just bite the bullet and order some in from over sees. You can also find them on trade me, their version of ebay. There are a few magic shops in Auckland though and if you ever find yourself in Taupo, there's a hobby shop there where you can buy bikes.

Yeah it's a working holiday visa! Thanks for your advice! There seems to be very few gaff coins there too?! Did you do any performing over there or just other work?
