Pick Pocketing

Postby Fabula » Sep 28th, '11, 17:46

Hi,
Thinking about putting a bit of "pickpocketing" style thing into my close up act. Any one know of any good resources to learn it from?
Thanks

I think the best book for you would be the Ricky Dunn book. I have forgotten the bloody title.

Yep. That's the one. And oddly enough I recommend this book even if you never pick a pocket in your life. It is full of wonderful tips about stagecraft and handling volunteers.

James Freedman has a couple of books and DVDs on the subject. I have seen him in action, and he is very good. Eddie Joseph has a book out fifty years ago, but no match for Ricky Dunne's I think.

Unfortunately both the lecture video/notes and the DVD from James are sold out, but his book is still available
