Does anyone know anything about the new Aleph Wallet from Vernet?

I'm thinking of buying one but see from a thread on another forum that there is a dispute about an unauthorised feature on this item.

While I really like the sound of it, I have some moral issues about buying if they are copying an idea without getting permission first.

I am not sure what you'd like us to say. If the idea was copied without permission, and you are not happy to buy a product like that, then don't buy it! Are you actually hoping that someone will say it's so wonderful that you will be able to set aside you ethical qualms, or perhaps that they will say it's so bad or over-priced that you don't need to worry yourself?

I assume we're talking about Mr Strivings's creation, and if it's the thread I have located, Mark is very clear about the lack of permission. So, until the issue is resolved, I suggest you don't give Vernet your money. Either your ethics mean something to you, or they don't. I'm sure that you wouldn't change your mind should it turn out that the Aleph is very cool, right?
