Spectator through card.

I'm trying to remember a trick I was shown a while back, but I've lost a key detail (two if you include the name) which is proving to be a bit of a sticking point.

Patter about space being bendable, card is folded into 9 segments with the middle segment torn on three sides. Spectator holds flap, closes eyes, fold takes place and spectator opens eyes looking at the other side of the card. I can't count how many times I've run through the trick without trouble but now it's like I've never had it. I've usually got a half decent memory too. Annoying.

Can anyone either provide a hint, point me in the right direction to find the right execution or at very least the name so I can try to track down the initial work (assuming it wasn't an unpublished original)?

It's certainly published, but I cannot remember where nor the name.

Not entirely useless.
I know something I didn't know before - it's published.
Thanks. :)

As far as I remember:
Robert Neale began the effect with his--Trapdoor

Terri Rogers put out her version (which she showed me here in my home when she had dinner with us) This is the most well known version--Stargate--published by Martin Breese

Then a look at David Britlands --Parallex-- might help; also published by Martin Breese

Ken Krenzel published a version in Apocalypse--don't have the magazines now, so can't help with the issue.

and Jeremy & Cheryl (Practical Magic) have a version with a Door, one side of a printed paper and piles of Gold on the other.
'The spectator stand one side of the paper, holding the door- paper is then folded, and find he/she finds themselves on the other side' It is called Mission Impossible

Just hold that flap and keep folding it all in and through. Wont take long, just make sure its all equal thirds lenght and width wise

Wow - thanks Allen!
I never knew it was a trick with so much history. I'll have to have a look into some of them for myself if I can find any of it.

Ajax - I've been carrying the card around in my bag since posting that but forgot it was there until today. I know I'll figure it out if I just keep folding but couldn't help posting this just to see if something jogged my memory. It didn't - but I'm glad I posted it. I'd never have known the history of it otherwise.
