Welcome to our forums :)

Is it mainly card magic you are trying to learn?

If so, I can't do better than recommend that you buy Born to Perform Card Magic by Oz Pearlman - it's an amazing DVD and well worth the money...

Welcome to TM, One bit of advice that i'd give to you is Buy some good cards ie- Bicycles, Bees, Tally -Ho you might think a couple of quid for a deck of cards is alot but they handle alot better than cheap cards and the'yy last you a bit longer.

One last thing that you always see in rules of conduct for magicians, when you are doing magic close up with cards, coins or whatever. You are using your hands so make sure that they are clean and there is no muck under your nails. This won't make you perform better but it will show you to be a very clean boy and that your mummy brought you up well.
