Name of this trick plzzz ???

Postby moonbeam » Oct 11th, '11, 22:51

Here's the effect:

You count 4 cards out face down to 1 spec and show them all to be blue-backed and you also count 4 more cards out face down to another spec and show them all to be red-backed.
You then ask spec 1 to pick a king (say for example he picks the king of clubs). You then ask spec 2 to name a different king. You ask him to pick a different colour to spec 1, so let's say he picks the king of hearts.
With a magical gesture (yea right!!!), you spread the cards and show that spec 1's king of clubs is now the only face up card in spec 2's pile and spec 2's king of hearts is the only face up card in spec 1's pile.
You then proceed to turn over the spec's kings and show that they are the opposite colour to the remaining face down cards.
As a final kicker, you turn over the 3 face down cards in each pile and show that they are all blank.

Now I know how to do the moves etc, but it's aaaaages since I've done this and I can't remember the name of the trick - so I need to know the name of the trick so I can watch a performance video to hone my presentation.
Anyone know plzzz ???
Thanks in advance :)

Twisted Sisters by John Bannon done with different cards.

It is usually done with queens and jokers.

John Bannon also has an effect called 'Duplicity' which is virtually the same as 'Twisted Sisters' but it uses aces and blank cards, the advantage of this routine is that no fakes are involved and everything can be examined at the end (if you so wish)

I love Twisted Sisters for it's 3 kickers. I'll be looking up Duplicity too now. :)

Thanks for the info guys  .
Never really heard/seen Duplicity, but I think I'll be using that method - even though it uses the good ol' "equivoque", you end clean and the cards can be examined ........ :D
