its a very good effect indeed... The trick itself is a such a breeze to do as it only requires a force. From there on its self working. As for the actual gaffed cards and the idea of the trick. it can all be asily constructed with a deck of cards and a different idea, but the actual idea of this trick is what you pay for. for instance one could do a working with a bicycle deck whereby a spectator picks a card, that is then shuffled back into the deck. The magi then goes onto pick up a knife and pretend to stab the deck. When the deck is fanned their is clearly only one card with a large rip through the center. Hand the card to the spec and let them examine it to make sure it is in fact their card.
