Mark Wilsons Torn and Restored

Postby Johnny Wizz » Oct 20th, '11, 11:59

Replying to another thread on here reminds me of an irritation I have with the way I finish the above trick. Those of you who do it will know what I mean by the special flick at the end. If I hit it dead right the card flies out of the deck and gets a real wow. If I don't hit it dead right it barely appears and I have to riffle once or twice more to get the card in to view.

Thing is, I don't know what I am doing right / wrong here. I cannot distinguish between what I have done when it works as opposed to what I do when it doesn't.

Anybody got any tips? PM me if they are too revealing.

If its the one I think you're talking about the key would be to hold the deck where the missing corner of the card is, then riffle the top. All the other cards are held in place by the grip, but the one with the mising corner should pop out from the riffle action.

Stacy's dead right, it's all about getting the pressure of the grip right. Too tight and you'll hold the card in place, too loose and all the cards go flying.
