Different bills, denomination and currency. Etienne Pradier does a great routine turning £20 into euros (two tens), then Yen then others.

Not sure what your point is here. Could you expand on your post ?

    Thanks

      Hi, Jim.

      Hope you're well.

Essentially a routine where a £20 changes first into a £50 then Euros, then, Yen, then something else.

I'm not arguing against the fact that a standard folded bill change is better but this routine allows multiple changes with pocketed TTs to all sorts of variations.

Hi Ste. Forgive me for being so stupid today but Im still not sure of your point :) Are you meaning that Ettiene doesnt flash the tip, as in my sentance you quoted ?

Ive not studied Ettienes work so am not familiar with the majority of it. I do remember (vaguely) one of his effects though - a Bill Change with multiple tips. It sounds very like the one you mention but it wasnt (from what i recall) a multiple change. It was a single change into a denomination requested by the spectator. It is a variation on Jason Randals ''Any Bill Called For'' (which doesnt actually use a tt). Is this perhaps what you are thinking of ?

The multiple TT method you're talking about wouldnt really be suitable for a multiple change as it would mean going to the pocket before and after each change. There are far better ways and you only need one tt.

You know, Jim - I may be wrong in my point.

Etienne does use multiple tips, I know that much - but perhaps the the footage I saw has led me to believe the multiple switches were for the same spec. I totally agree that multiple pocket reaches would be too suspicious so, now I think about it, I'm leaning towards it being a single switch to a spec's chosen denomination.

I'm sorry to have muddied the water with this one. I'll let you know if I get chance to review the footage I saw!
