I am 3 hours in to my working day. We have a sale on today and because our computer cannot cope with it a team of people have to be on hand from 4.00am to manually overide the system. I am hungry, tired and bored. A cup of black coffee has just arrived and it looks like a lifeline. I am going to be 62 next birthday and the next oldes person to me here in the office is 35. That is almost half my age. Why am I posting this? No idea, I suppose I just needed to express my misery somewhere.

Age is only a number. You probably have more energy, skills and experience than the youngsters there. Keep smiling and think about something positive.

Try to find some comfort in the knowledge that everyone around you has decades before they can even think of retiring.

Not everyone in your office may reach that age so be thankful!
