Advice for dry hands

Postby Goldenboy » Oct 23rd, '11, 12:58

Does anybody have a recommendation for a product that can prevent my hands getting dry when handling cards? I'm finding some sleights difficult with my fingers not having enough moisture to provide decent friction with the cards!

Check out the Great Sebastiano palming powder

Cards4magic stock it.
The link I tried to post would't work

You could also try these items from the same company http://www.cards4magic.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh ... 7349#a7349 The links to this site can be a bit unpredictable, if it doesn't take you straight to the items, just type Sort Kwik into the search function.

I just carry some hand moisturiser; works for me.
Seems there are other suggestions out there but nip to your local superdrug and buy yourself some; for a few pence it's worth trying out.

Custom R&S decks made to specification - PM me for details

I have the same problem Goldenboy.
This is super stuff from here....http://www.cards4magic.co.uk/acatalog/P ... ories.html" target="_blank
but a little expensive.
Men's hair gel works pretty well believe it or not, just a small amount in the palm of your hand.
I haven't tried hand lotion, as suggested, but may give it a go.

Anyhow hope this helps.

Since the baby am probably washing my hands 30+ times per day and with the cold weather it is really drying them out

Found something that works a treat though

Can't recommend highly enough as not only is it non-greasy it actually maintains the moisture AFTER use so no need to keep re-applying if you see what I mean

Are you watching closely? Then I'll begin...

Glad you're getting on well with it

Its good stuff, and like I say, best part is your hands aren't greasy afterwards!
