im having trouble with the second penetration can anyone help?

You could try to be a little more detailed about what you're trying to do and what the problem is
...
BTW, the second penetration is the vertical one where the pen is pressed downwards into the bill.
What exactly is the problem?

In hibernation but half awake - will stick my nose in every so often!

Second or first, the processes seem to be exactly the same - it's just an additional bit of presentation. I'd certainly query the part where Oz says everything can be handed out for examination - I don't think I'd like to let specs fiddle about with this sort of item in case they 'get lucky', if you know what I mean!
