Washing/cleaning close up mats?

Postby cc100 » Nov 9th, '11, 11:03

Hello,

This might be (another) stupid question but how do you clean close-up mats? Stick them in the washing machine, hand clean, etc.? Bought a Fournier one from Cards 4 Magic the other week, really like it, big and the green felt looks nice with red backed Bicycle cards. Just wanted to know for future reference. Also, I have a suspicion that there may be some miniscule biting bugs/insects in my bedroom...potential sources many and sundry :D...so planning on a general clean

Thanks, cc100

Anyone? I'm sure someone must have done it before. Can you wash them in a washing machine, or do you hoover them, etc.? I know this is probably a stupid question, but I would genuinely appreciate any tips.

All I do with mine is go over it with some sticky tape so as to clean it.

Depending in what it's made from, why not do a search on the tinterweb? You will probably find that if you have stains on it, a damp cloth will be recommended.

If you have an infestation, I would suggest a strong vacuum or just buying a new one.

I only spend around £10 on my close up mats so I don't mind replacing it once in a while.
