Dead Horse and Flog spring to mind.... Also What Next??

Postby The Last Deck on the Left » Jun 23rd, '05, 14:05

Hi guys!

What do you think of these:

http://www.ellusionist.com/order/ghost/ ... ine_Ad.htm

I know they aren't out yet, but I mean the actual concept?

What will Team Ellusionist do next I wonder......

The Midnight Stealth Deck (All black, with NO markings whatsoever!)

The 'REAL' ID - with No markings, no colours and NO CARDS! - only $99 !

Sorry!

I just wonder how many more times they will re-invent the (Bicycle) wheel?

:D

Wow...I NEEEEED THOSE CARDS!!!

I'm placing an order for 10,000,000,000,000,000 decks.

They can live under my bed and breed there.

I haven't bought any of the new decks and I doubt I'll buy this either but I do actually like the look of this one.

Hmm, I likethe look of these a lot more than the black ones, I can imagine using them for some creepy tricks in low light where the black ones would be pretty hard to see but these might show up with a nice spooky glow effect.

They look very nice; I prefer them to the Black Tigers. This is doing no good for my C.U.P.S.

CUPS is a fictional malady!

Having seen this I've ordered ten which now means that I have over thirty different card back sets in my stock now. I also jsut bought some which are completely blank on both sides (they were expensive, but I'm sure they're worth it!).

Of course, I don't do card magic, (but it's better to have them ready in case ;-) ) but I don't this that this should deter us from expanding our magic.

Please feel free to update me with any other new additions that I might need for my collection (now have over 700 tricks, many still in their original wrappers!).

CUPS is getting the better of me!

Postby The Last Deck on the Left » Jun 24th, '05, 08:37

I thought I had my CUPS under control, after my last big impulse purchase which consisted of Black Decks, Black Gaff Deck, Black Rising Deck, Black Deck Shell and some other bits and bobs from Ellusionist.

They look great though and the website told me I needed them!

Plus the colony of dust in my magic drawer has made a lovely home on top of them, so it was worth it wasn't it!

Seriously though, I thought afterwards, 'why on earth did I do that?? - When am I ever going to use them'??

Never mind - I'll learn one day - although after reading Vic's post, I'm not so sure!!

Anyway, the reason for the title of this post is that after reading some rather positive reviews for the ghost deck, I've just had another look at them, and I actually quite like them now. Plus the king of the dust particles in my drawer has told me he needs an extension to his palace.

(Sorry - it's the heat!)

Actually digressing for a minute, I've since read lots of negative things about Ellusionist.com and have realised how overpriced a lot of there material is. Also, I've really been put off by the cheesy, 'get rich quick' style of marketing. Saying that though, I have Brad's "AmbitiouXs Card" DVD and I've learnt so much from it. It's been a real help, and he does offer some really good comments. However, someone since said that Daryl's DVD is THE one to study from - but for now, Brad had come up with a pretty good guide for me to start with. He also actually credits his moves to the originators!
