Old style bike card boxes

Postby Alfred Borden » Nov 29th, '11, 15:47

Anyone know where I can get the oldie style Bikes (red) in bulk for the best price?

When I say old style I mean the card on the back as oppose to the 10h

Thanks in advance

I have the same problem

and seem to be the only one that's noticed the slight difference in print colour since the introduction of the 'new standards'

when I find out i'll let you know

is there any particular reason you are after, what I like to call the 'rider back box'?

I just stick a spare card onto the back with pva and trim off the thumb hole with a scalpel knife.

those Conjuring Arts - Magicians packs are based on the old style tuck case

http://conjuringarts.org/2011/11/professional-bicycle%c2%ae-playing-cards/

but don't work out quite as cheap

$70.00 (incl shipping) if you are not a CA member

'new standard' packets that you get in the bricks (12 packs) have a golden border front and back and if you simply stick or slide a playing card under the cellophane you can still see the gold border around the edge of the card and it looks quite obvious

I still want to know why you want the Rider Back Box

I'm assuming you don't fancy paying £50.00 for it then

never looked into it myself but assume it's one of those things you may pay stupid money for, only to realise you already have one

is it a packaged trick or a utility device?

Have read a few reviews and the product info on Alakazam

sounds similar to other utility devices already available - can this be compared with 'Any Card to Specs Wallet'?

Paid £25 for mine as there was a sale on Alakazam

I think its brilliant - on a par with ACTASW

Apparently Theory 11 sell, I have emailed to ask if they are in fact the 'old style rider backs as depicted here:

http://www.theory11.com/playingcards/bicycle.php

and at that price for 12 (provided shipping isn't too expensive) it's the cheapest i've come across
