I would like to share an opener that works amazingly. Anybody else reading this, feel free to use it as well.

This opener has a double meaning. It could mean that I am going to change your thouts about mentalism or it could mean that I am going to cause a change in your brain.
It causes immediate rappore with the audience. It causes immediate excitement and curiosity and it helps to establish a sense of drama. All of this in less than five seconds. From this moment on, the audience belongs to you.
I usually commence immediately with an effect which takes no longer than three minutes, (you don't want to lose their interest), and then I can start my introduction.
