May I add something... " Just imagine it in your mind the same way you actually drew it "
" Just imagine it in your mind clearly the same way you printed it "
" Just imagine the numbers clearly in your head the same way you wrote them "

It is indeed true that when you write something down, it sticks well into your mind, which helps you pick up "subtle cues" of what someone's thinking off. State that information. Most students know it. This is why they have revision side-notes before the exam that they carry around half an hour before the exam starts. ( Or, teachers who make you write something down 100 times to know the spelling. You could say that " Well, 100 times is too much, but it does help in sticking something into your head" ) ?To be honest, what really sticks stuff into your mind well is the mnemonic systems. Nonetheless, writing stuff down does help too.
Why rip it ? No one cares. Everyone is concerned about what you are / how you are sinking into their thoughts. This is why if you give importance to the rip rip rip, people will too. Ignore it. The concentration is all on what you are saying, because what you do is unique and people want to know how. After a couple of rip rip rips, no one has a clue of what you really did. You just read their minds after that.
I personally have such opinion because of pro's tips on "believe in what you're doing" ( it does show through your body language if you firmly do believe that ( that's part of acting ) )
