Somebody REALLY likes David Blaine!!!!!!! That's not a bad thing, but you really should look beyond him.
I have a few comments, I'll go through each effect one by one -
One - the force isn't clean. You puase too long and your handling of the cards isn't up to snuff. I commend you for attempting to use that move, but it's REALLY a tough one to get smooth. Work on the flow of your card riffle and don't hold up your force too long. If you know what the principle of that force is, the key is not how LONG they see the card.
Two - The color change of the 3 of clubs. Not too bad, but you really should do it the opposite way. The card should START black and then turn white. The white faced card looks strange in a black deck, so you should switch that around. Also, instead of turning the card face down and then revealing it - look into an erdnase color change move. It's a more visual change and gets better reactions.
Three - You need to practice the Raven more. Your vanishes are decent (though they could be more smooth) but the switches are easy to pick up on. Your hands look like your digging up your sleeve, and while moving your hands slowly is a good idea, actually stopping and appearing to fidget immediately ruins the effect. Your second vanish (on the surface) was better. It was smooth and worked nicely. Try to make your in the hands stuff look the same way.
Four - Card transpo - your get-ready is easily spotted and your dl's need work. The way you turn over the five the first time is suspicious since your fingers look almost CLAMPED to the cards. Look into Greg Wilson's Double Take DVD for better ways to show, replace and handle dl's (Good LORD - I plug this dvd so often, I should get a royalty check!). The transpo itself is ok, but this effect works better with spectators. When THEY hold the card, it hits harder and seems more impossible.
Five - I can't comment on your levitation. Personally, I don't like ANY kind of levitation effect. But that's just me. None of them look convincing to me, none of them are believable. Sorry - but I can't give any other kind of feedback.
Six - The deck vanish. You'd better watch yourself with this kind of thing. I'm sure there are people here who would just tear you to shreds for using video editing and calling it magic. Others (like me) will rip you to shreds for using BAD video editing.
Seven - The die vanish with tennis ball. Not a bad effect, just speed it up. You moved the ball around so much, anyone will instantly think "he must be moving it to a specific spot" - and with just that, your effect is ruined.
Eight - Coin to card - TOOOOOOOO long. In that amount of time, I could change the coin to a cow. Again, novel concept, poor execution. If you sit with your hand covering the coin (the other hand being off camera as well) even a dead person would sit up and say "hey, you're doing some funny stuff, there"
Nine - you just did another coin vanish here. All the same I said above, applies here.
Ten - HOLY COW!!! LOOK AT THE MAGIC! I've never seen that move! Is it called "The magical, mystical stop camera while I switch coin start camera with my hand in a different position visual-via-memorex coin transpo trick"?
Seriously - knock that off.
Eleven - "Ace Queen - Queen disappears via stopping the camera trick" Seriously, George Lucas - knock it off.
Twelve - It appears you'd rather study trick cameras, than magic tricks. With some patience, diligence and practice EVERY effect you faked can be done in a live situation. You obviously have the interest, why not try to figure some of that out?
I've been nice enough in this post, and I'm about done with that. If you have a genuine interest in magic, that's cool - by all means post more videos and show us what you can do. However, stuffing a few tricks into a video filled with HORRIFIC camera tricks is an insult to everyone who comes here. I have a degree in graphic design - Unlike you, I CAN make videos that would stand up to scrutiny. I CAN create an effect purely with camera tricks and pass it off as magic- and almost all of you would believe me. But I don't? Why? Because I appreciate the art of magic, itself. I appreciate the work, practice, effort and skill of everyone on this forum, and I wouldn't think to disrespect their work and love of this art, by posting something like that. You show some skill with a few of your effects - build on that. I gave you some pointers, hopefully you'll follow them instead of pursuing more camera trickery. If not - I kindly ask you not post anymore videos like this.
