Problem with a supplier

Postby ChrisD » Jan 16th, '12, 18:02

Does anyone know anything about/had dealings with a site called MagicCave?

I placed an order and have not heard from them since, despite a number of email, phone call and other attempts to chase the order.

Any information regarding this site would be appreciated and if anyone knows who is running the site, please ask them to get in touch/check their emails/answer their phones.

Thanks in advance.

magic cave have the stall in covent garden. They are above board. However thry do concentrate their buseness in the stall, so may not always be around to check mails ect.

I've ordered from them a couple of times and on both times found them a little slow but they did get around to me in the end. I think that they're one of those shops that you just need to be a little patient with.

In this day and age, if a supplier can't be bothered to respond to emails and calls, they would certainly not get my business again. I don't imagine they have anything exclusive.

The exception would be someone like Lassen or Riggs who say on their sites they will take a while to reply.

I find The Bond Agency excellent suppliers. I needed something urgently last week and placed and order at about 3pm and put a note in asking them please to post it that day as I needed it the next day, and they did. Hats off to them.

I use this supplier all the time.
Never had to wait more than a day or so.
I too would recommend them.

Agreed on the Bond Agency. They even one sent me some specific card gaffs I was looking for for free since they happened to have them lying around.

I must say I have ordered from several different suppliers over the past few years & I have never had a problem with any. Sadly I would not be saying the same thing if this post were on a radio forum & relating to amateur radio suppliers. So it's not me not wanting to complain or my expectations, it is magic suppliers are in general very good in my experience.

Thanks for your replies guys.

At least they do exist. I'll try and get in touch with them again, not based down south so popping in to the stall isn't an option.

Thanks again.

FYI, One of the people behind Magic cave, Is Lee Hathaway.

He wouldn't of been around to check phones, and emails because he has been out in Vegas over the last week or so...

Because he fooled Penn & teller.
