money printer

Postby devilstick Peat » Jan 23rd, '12, 00:28

Hi there people. Im hoping someone can help me out here.
Im building an eco themed show for march and I want a money roller. one of those ones where you feed blank paper in and money comes out (to show how recycleing can save you money). the only ones I can find are cheap plastic kids ones. dose anyone know where I can buy a decent one, or something similer that has the same effect.
thanks in advance

Not exactly the same as you're looking for, but not a cheapo toy version either: http://www.magicnevin.com/proddetail.as ... 898&cat=12" target="_blank" target="_blank

That said, an 'adult' dual-roller version may not be in the price range you'd expect: http://www.emagictricks.co.uk/Money_Printer_MKE.html" target="_blank

Mikame stuff is always so nicely made; you do end up paying for it, though!

There are at least three types of prop that will do this, two of which Rob has covered in his post. The third kind I have seen is similar to the first, except you use an old-fashioned desk blotter (a curved piece of wood with a handle on the back, which has blotting paper attached to the curved side), but no one uses those blotters these days. It would be OK for a Scrooge story or something like that, but too out of place without a good reason.

Have you considered using some other switching device? While I love that Mikame prop, it is really just a high quality version of a trick some people will have seen before. Alternatively, could you use something that doesn't look like it involves props at all, like Extreme Burn 2.0?

Hi guys,
thanks for the info.
the mikame money printer looks wonderful, but I hate spending that amount of money without seeing and touching the prop (I'm old fashioned like that)
The blotter type looks very cool, theres one for sale on ebay as i speak (or rather type).
But I think Im going for the Magic Money Printing Machine from emagic as this looks like the sort that will best suit my routine, ie I can take my time rolling back and forth, spending a few seconds slowly changing the paper to money.
Also a big thank you to mandrake and all the other guys who keep this site going. Ive learnt so much here.
thank you
