I couldn't decide whether I should celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Dragon, or the life of Robert Burns. I decided to do both, so I am having a Chinese Burns Night.

(Shamelessly pinched from this morning's Metro letters page.)

I wish you'd asked last night I was performing last night.

Tonight I'm writing up the song book for my band's debut gig in two weeks time. Lots of copy pasting lyrics and spacing out chords correctly.

I'm debating whether or not to start reading The Shining, after I heard a lot of Stephen King fans saying the book is very different when compared to the film.

I have read the book, and it is very good. I don't know about the film, but somehow I doubt it lives up to the book. However Misery did live up, so you never know.
I have had a night of typing, getting in my 3,000 word target before toddling off to bed.
No gigs, no curries, no excitement.

Well I didn't have anything to drink yesterday and can't remember the episode of Buffy we were watching at the time so I'm going with "bad"
On the plus side I got a good night's sleep.
(Question; is that apostrophy in the right place?)

Isn't that what you always say? ;)

For tonight, I'll be teaching a group of postgraduate students about stage adaptations of Poe's Fall of the House of Usher.

Guilty as charged. I did come up with a concept for my summer show, though, if I'm forced to do one.

Tonight, I will be mostly sat quietly eating Jaffa Cakes...
