There is a routine of this kind in one of the Tarbell volumes. I think that the items needed are hard to get hold of.
There is a similar routine that I was looking at which turns water into 'blood' but again, the things needed to do this are difficult to obtain and prohibited in some countries.

Well I could think of a way in which to convert a glass of water to wine but back again would be the tricky bit.

Perhaps we could ask philipsw to check his Magigrams for the item mentioned by Allen -

before he sells them? Not to reveal anything of course but a hint or two might be useful.

I would dearly love to have the time to do that :-) Maybe someone with an electronic version could do the search?

The Chris Van Bern original version appears on pages 23 & 24 of Will Goldston's Magician's Annual 1910-1911. Obtainable from Lybrary.com in a zip file.

Billy McComb gives his version of the Chris Van Bern version in his book '25 Years of Magic--published by Supreme

There are half a dozen versions in Stanyon's Magic. I have just been researching W into W for my son in Portugal

Lord Freddie. I think I saw Water into blood in Stanyon. It may be in the info I copied for my son. If so I will send it to you

I am intrigued by the Barry & Stuart version on last week's 'Magicians'. 1 glass. 1 bottle of mineral water.
And a volunteer easily distinguished in the audience because she was the onky one wearing a green scarf??!!

I know the method for the B&S one. No stooges. It is a very beautiful bit.

then the only thing left is the method.
