My son knows a guy at his work who does this trick so I've tried to work out a way to reach the same effect.

all cards are dealt out over and over until only one card remains and this is the selected card.

The guy my son knows, looks through the pack and says he can't find the card before starting the dealing but I did it a bit different to that.

Anyone know if this trick has a name, I've been calling it last card.

I do something similar in my SV Deck routine. Is it possible he's using a SV?

I dont have a pack of cards on me !
but think of the most common card trick that specs try to show us then add one ?
am I correct ?

No, I don't think so. I think that when he looks through the deck he is setting things up unaware that there is a much easier way. I've not seen him do it so can't be sure.

I hadn't thought of using a SV deck though, I don't use mine much.

dealing cards over, and over again does sound boring. Thats why i suspect the 21 card trick has been suggested.
Personaly, i think that you would be much better off, doing the circus card trick instead, maybe dressing it up to look like the guys trick.

Yes, it does get a bit dull. I guess it should be dressed up a bit. I do like the circus card trick though because of the twist and it can be achieved in the same way I did this one.
