Postby russpie » Feb 2nd, '12, 18:36

Where the hell did this website get their price guide from 1974?

Yes! Let's be blunt here... that 6 hour price should be the 3 hour. I am rather angry about that price list.

If I was a normal member of the public looking at this I would be put off straight away by the basic spelling mistakes on the site. I would then decide not to take this site seriously and so look elsewhere.....

It does say the average price. If you want an average magician that offers an average service and average performance expect to pay that much... however if you want someone who is any good...

That would be a good starting price, seeing as it says £400 +

Perhaps it'd be worthwhile for some of our CorpPros to drop the site owner a line, via http://www.iamengaged.co.uk/feedback, advising accordingly :)

...Also worthwhile mentioning, at the same time, that most of us really don't take too kindly being referred to as 'Magacians'

I've sent one too. Who would book a magician for a wedding for 6 hours anyway, the longest i've been asked for is 4 hours & they'd more than struggle to get me for £400 for that. I agree the site isn't great & I'm not sure if anyone would take it as gospel but as long as it's there then someone will see it & as magicians tend not to give prices on their own websites, will think this is the going rate.
