Open Mic night

Postby craigie » Feb 3rd, '12, 19:36

Hi there are a few local open mic nights in and around my area. They are basically open to anyone singer, comedian etc. Has anyone had any experience of going along to one of these and doing a short routine?

I was thinking about simple things, TNR newspaper and I also have the 21st centuary silk to bra. Not heavy magic but just light effects for a good laugh?

I do open mics a bit, there's a few where I used to live that were very welcoming of non-musical acts. I use them as dress rehearsals for stage/cabaret effects. There's a few threads around here on the subject, just have a quick search.

I've done a couple of these as well... I posted on here about the first one I did and how that went (a bit of a learning curve!) It's great fun though and I'm planning on more soon.
