looking for a box that shows whats been removed.

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

I really ought to stay off the internet until I'm fully awake...

No worries :D

Jean Eugene Roberts wrote:No I wasn't thinking of that. From what I can remember (if I'm remembering it right at all) it was an ornate box with holes hidden in the design. I'm fairly sure it was in a book like banachek.

I found the box I was searching for in M,M&M (page 553, titled 'Cashseer' if anyones interested.) Unfortunately it doesn't work for what I have in mind. So if anyone does have any alternative ideas let me know. Bare in mind I don't want to predict what item is taken out I want to know what item is taken out.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

Also I just realised I've been a complete idiot it doesn't need to be 18 items it was 14 (or 16 as it's easier to divide something into a 4X4 grid) I have no idea where 18 came from.

See "Box Office" pg 5

"On the Button" pg 12

I believe there's one other one in that book, but I can't seem to find it.

Bear in mind, you could go electronic with these using a reed switch, but why? If it works, don't fix it!

There is a method of doing this in 13 step to mentalism. Well to be honest, the method for any mentalism effect can be found in there. :D

Is there?

Oh yes:

Craig's suggestion in MMM is well worth a look at, it's a nice and simple idea that can easily be adapted for lots of different uses.
