The book people have dropped off a load of books in our reception today, and they're selling this little number for £8

I've had a quick leaf through and it seems an ideal book for a youngster who is into magic, it has some props in there too, although they are made of thin cardboard seem more aesthetic than the items that came in the kids magic sets when I was a kid. There's a floating card and a folding change box which looks interesting.

I didn't have chance to leaf through it properly but I might buy a copy and pretend it's for when my boy's a little bit older. A bit like when I bought "Where's my cow" before he was born.

Revealing 25 tricks abd ALL in 30 pages!!!!!

I think if its secrets anyone is after then Geoffrey Lamb's 'Magic Illustrated Dictionary' with its 157 pages and illustrations might be a better bargain.
Published first by Kaye & Ward, London in 1979 at £5:95p--there are second hand copies around.

I bought 4. One was withdrawn from the Cleveland County School Libraries Service,
School Libraries!
The date issued out label in the front of the book was--blank.
No one was interested enough in Magic's Secrets to even take it out on loan!

And there are many, many tricks revealed in it from the Die Box to the Foo Can to the Floating Ball to Levitation to Doll's House to various card effects.
And often references to the books to follow the secrets up.
