    Death Defying Acts
    4.25pm on Sunday 4th March (1 hour 35 minutes) on BBC 2.
The year is 1926, and Houdini (Guy Pearce) is a household name. Isolated by fame and drowning in regret over having not been present to hear his mother's last words, Houdini announces that he will pay $10,000 to anyone who can prove spiritual contact with his deceased mother. But in his determination to prove that there is life after death, he becomes the target of countless charlatans, scam artists, and self-proclaimed spiritualists... Starring Guy Pearce, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Timothy Spall.

I started watching it, then remembered what a load of inacurate poo it was. :)

Its a good movie.. I just wish they hadnt peppered it with historical figures, Like Houdini.

Oh c'mon it was alright.

The scene where KZJ is up a ladder so a dirty old man can look up her skirt did cause my other half to remark it was probably an accurate re-enactment of present day life in the Douglas household at least.

Smashing. A nice bit of undemanding late night telly!

(I'll never get back the three hours I spent watching Inglorious Basterds(sic) last night).

so did the powers that be in Hollywood.
But, As i have just found out, they gave Tarantino 6 weeks to do the edit, rather than 6 months to a year as per norm.
Its finished print was still being cut, whilst it opened in Cannes. The Cannes print was exactly 1 minute longer.
I am not a fan of Tarantio as a rule, but admired some of his ideas in this one, such as the total lack of blood in one shoot out. However He sugested blood in the air , by adding a pink tinge to the smoke generated by the pyros, and gun shot squibs.
