If I have a Paypal account, can people just send me money using my email address and their own PayPal account?

I know this is a ridiculously newb question but I have a headache and I keep getting distracted by the "Merchant Services" section of the site.

Thanks. :)

Bear in mind it is better to give than receive so, on that basis, if you send me money you'll feel very good indeed and I'll do my best to come to terms with the guilt.....

Besides, as far as I remember, sending money via PayPal costs nothing while receiving it does. So another reason for giving instead of taking...

If you transfer the money by 'electronic transfer' and not through a credit card it costs nothing, either way.

I don't charge anything to people who want to send me money. It is one of the few free services I offer so take advantage.

it costs 3.8% to receive the money when using paypal no matter how the sender funds the transfer.

I've had this argument before. Contact Paypal.
