Some advice regarding the 4 jacks trick (not sure on real title)

Not many magicians like this as it's fairley easy to work out. I have been looking at this and want to try and draw attention to how it is done.

Any ideas??

I assume you mean draw attention FROM how its done?

Either way, my advice would not to do it. There are better tricks out there and with this one there is a big chance someone will be nudging his mate saying I know how he does that one.

I also wouldn't recommend laying 21 cards down in piles of 7...

The 4 Jacks is a good routine if you know how to use it. It's a patter routine rather than a sleight of hand routine. I'm assuming you mean the Jack robbers.

Yeah the Jack robbers.

I think it is fantastic for a sucker trick.......I have added my own little twist to this and can't wait to perfect it and find out what kind of a reaction I get.

You are right in what you say regarding patter. You really do need to sell this to the spectator with great showmanship

:D

oh you mean the 4 jack robbers and the King and Queen and they come and go in 4 different places then police come search and they come out on top, if you want a patter PM, however i will not give the secret.

There is a similar trick on Daryl's Encyclopedia of Card Sleights Volume 8 - It's called, 'Rising Crime' - similar patter line, totally different method / handling.
