funny you should mention coin bend, my weekend is becoming full of strange coincidences

I was out with friends last night and no quicker than arriving and ordering my first pint I was asked to do a trick

now I don't have a coin bend gimmick but in that situation what was handed to me with my change can be described as extreme magicians luck, I still don't know how I contained my self when I felt what was in my hand

no switch necessary, the coin that was given to me by the bar lady clearly placed straight in my friends hand, a tight squeeze and a mini miracle

This just in, I've had a few drinks but a 2012 5p has stuck to my PK ring. 5ps appear to now be magnetic. HUZZAH!!!

I've just moved to New Zealand and silver coins are magnetic!

There's a huge lack of gaff coins and magic shops here though. So if anyone is a coin maker there's a huge gap in the market on this side of the world!

It may be time to start hoarding a collection of non-M******c 10p's and 5p's

I am already doing this - my GF thinks i've gone mad hoarding 5 and 10 pence pieces

The steel is a problem for me (especially the 5p) with a couple of my coin unique routines

Do you reckon I can get my money back for m******c 10p?

As it will now be useless.

Are you still hoardibng 5p and 10p coins ? How big is your collection now ? :D

Eh? I don't see how. The face value is not changing, so why do you feel ripped off?

It seems to be a throwback to when the monetary value of coinage was to do with their actual composition rather than (as has been the case for a long time) coins and notes representing an abstract value of money which is unrelated to their actual cost. Coinage is best thought of as being a token rather than "money" in the old sense.
Does that make sense? It does in my head!
